Dead Dog :-(

Today there was a dead dog at the first feeding station in Plaquemines. Already half-decomposed because of the heat so you could see its rib cage, but I am pretty sure it wasn't there last week. I would have seen it or smelled it, since I parked my car right where it was lying in the grass. The dog food and water was gone. I didn't take pictures, and there are probably people who don't want to see a dead dog anyway. At least now I know there is something out there. All the food stations were empty. The trip was much better this week because a) I had company, b) no ferry, and c) the joys of bug spray.

Poor dead dog. I guess it wasn't enough food, or it was too late.
